Plasmids and Strains

Please note that our Lab has the original PA14 strain (UCBPA14) as well as the PA14 Rif strain, which was generated by Dr. Rahme. This specific strain was used to sequence the PA14 genome and also in Dr. Rahme’s studies published in Science in 1995.

PA14 is a blood stream isolate from a thermally injured patient. In 1991, Dr. Rahme obtained the PA14 strain from Dr. Schroth’s culture collection at University of California Berkeley.
