We appreciate any contribution to our on-going patient-oriented projects from the general public:
Anti-virulence drug development as an alternative therapeutics to antibiotics
Infections and infections-related prognostic/diagnostic tool development
Sponsors will be acknowledged on our page and are welcome to visit our lab to learn more about projects they are involved with.
Become our Academic or Industry Collaborator
We value cross-disciplinary academic collaborations to promote scientific discovery/innovation, and with industry to expedite the development of products with clinical utility based on our findings.

Postdoctoral Position at the Department of Surgery Massachusetts General Hospital and Department of Microbiology Harvard Medical School, Boston.
Position is available immediately for a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Laurence Rahme, MSc., Ph.D. at the Department of Surgery Mass General Hospital, Center for Surgery, Innovation, and Bioengineering, and Department of Microbiology Harvard Medical School, Boston.
Our research focuses on bacterial virulence mechanisms, immunopathogenesis, and the development of anti-virulence therapeutics and immune intervention therapies. We are seeking a candidate with a passionate interest in the field of molecular microbiology and immunology to identify and study novel bacterial virulence factors in ESKAPE pathogens and impede their mechanisms of action using the anti-virulence compounds we have developed. A successful candidate should have a strong training in molecular and cellular microbiology and prior experience in immunology, as well as working with mouse models of bacterial infection. In addition, experience in tissue culture, and molecular biology skills, including RNAseq and CHIPseq and analysis is required.
Interested candidates, please submit to Dr. Laurence Rahme at rahme@molbio.mgh.harvard.edu a curriculum vitae, a summary of current and future research interests, expected availability date, a description of past research experience and accomplishments, and three names of potential referees.
